So you’re in love with aerial and ready to get your own apparatus. Wonderful! I’ve got the carabiners and swivels. Here’s what you would need for class:

Silk - 13 or 14 yds of fabric and a figure 8

Hoop: a hoop of your size, a 4 ft spanset, and 2 rolls of tape

Hammock: 9 yds of fabric and 2 hammock hitches.

I love Aerial Essentials. Such a great one stop shop for a variety of equipment and apparatuses. Their website is easy to use and very informative. They also deliver to the west coast in two days! I buy my silks, hammocks, hammock hitches, spansets, carabiners, hoop tape, hand loops etc. from here. Use coupon code AE79462067 for 7% discount on orders of $250 or more.

I personally prefer tabless aerial hoops for versatility. You can find those at Firetoys and Circus Gear Store.

I’ve got the hardware but if you want your own, I personally like to hang only from steel hardware. It’s tough to find steel swivels and figure 8s but you can get them from Circus By Us.
